Silver Plating
Silver, copper and gold are good conductors. Metals whose atoms have one valence electron are good conductors. Gold, silver and copper are examples. Silver is the best conductor, followed by gold, then copper.
Silver has high electrical conductivity. Silver plating is the first solution that comes to mind for materials that require high electrical conductivity. Silver is resistant to corrosion and organic substances and is unaffected by them.
In the metal industry, silver plating is mainly used to make contacts for precision switches, kitchenware and decorative items. Because of its greater corrosion resistance, applying silver over copper, brass and nickel coatings can also provide a longer service life.
